Press Release – St Albans, 14th May 2015

ODM has confirmed it has received formal approval from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to provide credit broking and credit intermediation services, following its application to the FCA for a Variation of Permissions (VoP).

In April 2014 the FCA took over regulation of consumer credit from the Office of Fair Trading requiring all firms involved in credit broking or intermediary services to become authorised. ODM has been regulated by the FCA’s predecessor the Financial Services Authority since May 2005.

As a result of this approval from the FCA, ODM is now fully authorised to provide financial services firms an outsourcing solution for face-to-face sales of consumer finance products such as credit cards, loans, insurances etc.

ODM now also offers a unique opportunity for the risk managers to engage an FCA authorised organisation to undertake regulatory audit and mystery shopping services on customer facing staff who sell or promote a regulated product in a retail environment.
